"Colin, you've carved a sweet piece of heaven
out of these wilds. I've enjoyed the conversation and food... genuine friendship
and
the compassionate insight you offer on the people who live here."
- Rick Kupchella (Kare TV, NBC) Food is one of the delights of life. So why
not make the most of our unique location to experience the good food of the Amerindian
people, of Guyana, the Caribbean and Brazil. We choose what is best of what is
locally available and grown on the farm - fish, mutton, beef, pork, venison and fresh
fruits and vegetables. |

Come and join us for a gastronomic feast in the open. Our menus include
Brazilian bar-b-que prepared on a wood-fire grill under 50-year old mango trees. Other
delicacies are chicken and duck with coconut milk, baked fish seasoned in herbs from our
garden. The tasso and passoca that are prepared for cowboys to carry on their daily
routines are also favourites among our guests. |
Traditional Amerindian dishes from cassava such as farine, tapioca
pancakes or tapioca porridge served with wild honey and fresh fruits from the orchard,
pepperpot or tuma pot are among the delights served for a breakfast feast in the
ite-thatched benab by the guest house. Bird lovers, while having their breakfast, can
observe the bird life. This round house can also be used for relaxation in hammocks. |
